I’m thankful for cotton candy skies, beach days without another person in sight, and you guys! Even when I’m cursing the algorithm and not seeing my favorite people’s posts, I still get so much encouragement and support from the @Instagram community. Hope all my friends in the US have a very happy Thanksgiving, cherishing loved ones and life’s little blessings. 😘
West Coast winter sunsets are the best sunsets. We witnessed the most magical sunset this week in @surfcityusa. Walking down to the pier from @hyatthuntingtonbeach we stopped and watched the waves roll in lit by the 🔥 sunset. After the final little bit of color was gone, we walked back up to the Hilton for a beachside s’mores bonfire party (for just the three of us). Several hotels offer a fully catered bonfire experience- with firewood, chairs, blankets, drinks and all the s’mores fixings! You only need to bring yourself. @visittheoc
Early morning walks on the beach are truly the best way to start the day. I feel energized & alive before I’ve even had my first cup of joe. @visittheoc has miles and miles of the widest beaches, some with rocky coastlines and tide pools, some with iconic California lifeguard stands, all of them so beautiful.
Did you love carousel 🎠 rides as a kid? (Or still do now?!) @kidaugustine is obsessed, especially if there is a 🦄. As we continued our tour of @visittheoc we stopped by the Irvine Spectrum Center for some shopping and lunch. Little did we know there were also so many fun rides for the kiddos- including the 🎠 but also a 🚂 & 108 foot The Giant Wheel (which is like a Ferris wheel 🎡 but has round bucket seats). There is also an ⛸ rink for the holidays. Of course we had to ride all three. Beyond the rides, I was super impressed with the restaurant choices - several of them where really themed out (one was like you escaped to Cuba, and another one to Italy’s wine region). We had such a great afternoon and can’t wait to return and see @kidaugustine try ice skating for the 1st time! #VisitTheOC
Bob, Augustine and i are spending 72 hours in @visittheoc and within 5 mins of being in The OC we are greeted by two VWs and three classic woodies (one with two surfboards on the top). Apparently that’s the welcome mat when you drive through @surfcityusa to the marina in #VisitNewportBeach. We spent our first day exploring Balboa Island and cruising the harbor with a Duffy boat, dipping our toes in the ocean at Crystal Cove State Park, and roasting marshmallows at a beach bonfire in Huntington Beach. It was a good day, friends. Have you ever been to the OC? We have a couple more days to explore and would love to know your favorite spots.
This week we went to @Disneyland. 🏰🎠🎢❤️🖤 It was @KidAugustine’s very first, very magical trip and it won’t be our last. We hit the jackpot of cool weather, few people and zero toddler meltdowns! We are in no way experts at the whole Disney scene but I will say that It’s a Small World was the best first ride to gear her up for dark rides and lots of noises and lights. Also- the week after Veterans weekend and Thanksgiving seems to be very slow- highly suggest this week next year! We maybe waited in line 15 mins tops and many we just walked right on! Best day ever, thanks @visitanaheim for making our Disney dreams come true! #visittheoc
